Trumbull County union electrician Steve Fife has been named the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers’ Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee’s “Instructor of the Year.” Fife is a journeyman electrician for Joe Dickey Electric in North Lima. He teaches fifth-year apprentice courses at the Trumbull County local. He is a 20-year veteran and has been an instructor for 11 years.

Edward Taylor, general manager of the McDonald’s restaurant at 2487 Parkman Road in Warren, was recently awarded the Ray Kroc Award, which recognizes the top 1 percent of McDonald’s restaurant managers. Taylor is one of only 141 managers nationwide to receive the honor.

Salem-based Haltec Corp. has been recognized by the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation under its Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program. Haltec is one of 26 SHARP-certified Ohio employers.

Attorneys James L. Blomstrom and Frederick Coombs, of Youngstown-based Harrington, Hoppe & Mitchell, have been named to the Ohio Super Lawyers list. It is the 10th year in a row Blomstrom has been named to the list and the fourth year in a row for Coombs. Lawyers named to the list have attained high peer recognition, met ethical standards and demonstrated achievement in their fields. About 5 percent of attorneys in the state make the list.

FINANCE

Chase Bank has named Phil Duryea as its Northeast Ohio division manager. Duryea will be based in Akron and charged with oversight for the Akron-Canton and Youngstown markets. He will lead a team of bankers that serve midsized businesses with annual revenues in the $20 million to $500 million range. Duryea has a bachelor’s degree from Hillsdale College and a master’s degree from Case Western Reserve University.

Poland-based Bury Financial Group has announced that Brian M. Laraway, was awarded MVP status at the recent 25-under-35 awards sponsored by the Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley. Laraway, a partner at Bury Financial, is actively involved with a number of local community organizations, including the Austintown Rotary and the Mahoning Valley Steering Committee.

MARKETING

IM Image Marketing of Canfield has hired local business consultant Maria A. Stevens. She will focus on generating new business as well as helping clients create content for their marketing campaigns. Established in 2004, IM Image Marketing is a full-service design and marketing firm.

Susan Wilson has joined Klacik Real Estate as a new agent. Wilson is a member of the Youngstown-Columbiana Association of Realtors, Ohio Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. She graduated from Alliance High School in 1996.

Accounting

Hill, Barth & King has hired three new associates to join the accounting and business consulting firm at offices across the country. Michael DeLuca joined HbK’s Fort Meyers, Fla., office, while Shannon Martin was hired at the Meadville, Pa., office. In Youngstown, Michael Metzinger was hired. DeLuca holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree and Metzinger graduated from Youngstown State University in December with a bachelor’s degree. Martin earned her bachelor’s degree from Maryville University in Missouri.
