Jr. Civic League plans Mardi Gras party

The Junior Civic League is planning a Mardi Gras party Saturday at The Georgetown in Boardman. The Junior Civic League will host its second annual Mardi Gras party at 7 p.m. Saturday at The Georgetown, 5945 South Ave.

Tickets are $35 per person and may be purchased through JCL members.

The evening will include dinner, entertainment by David Taylor and X-Men Band, a 50-50 raffle, a basket auction, beads and a mask.

Proceeds will benefit the league’s scholarship and education programs.

The league is a nonprofit organization dedicated to volunteering and community service in the areas of health, education and civic affairs.
