Heavens celebrate 50th anniversary at Croatian club

NEW MIDDLETOWN

Mr. and Mrs. Jim Heaven of New Middletown celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at Bessemer Croatian Club on Feb. 16.

Their children are Bill (Jane) Heaven of Canfield and Sandi (Fred) Kohler of Poland, and grandchildren are Ryan and Bree Kohler and Sarah Heaven.

The former Judy Thomas and Mr. Heaven were married Feb. 16, 1963, at Coitsville Presbyterian Church in Youngstown. The couple are members of Zion Lutheran Church in New Middletown.

Mrs. Heaven retired as a customer-service representative from Homes Savings and Loan, where she worked for 28 years. She also was a secretary for Canfield Fair for seven years.

Mr. Heaven was a glazier for Warren Glass for 35 years with Glaziers Local 847 and retired in 2000. He is a member of Springfield Township Optimist Club.
