Library friends offer activities

LEETONIA

Friends of Leetonia Public Library, 181 Walnut St., will have a social at 6 p.m. Tuesday with tea, coffee and snacks. Future projects will be planned.

The library is sponsoring a limerick writing event March 21. All ages are invited to submit up to five limericks, which should follow traditional form.

There will be a Library Garden Party at noon May 11. The entrance fee is a plant (preferably a perennial) or small shrub to add to the library’s landscaping. Refreshments will be served; dress casually.

Register now for the second annual community yard sale May 25 and your permit fee will been waived. Friends of the library will also have a book sale that day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the annex building. Call the library at 330-427-6635 for details and registration.
