Pharmacist threatened
BOARDMAN
Police continue to investigate a robbery at a pharmacy in which a man took about $2,500 worth of oxycodone, a prescription painkiller.
The robbery occurred about 11:15 p.m. Tuesday at Walgreens, 7295 Market St., police said. A pharmacist told police she had just finished taking a phone order when the other phone line rang. When she answered, a man said “I’m withdrawing off my meds, give me all your oxys,” according to reports.
The man yelled at her, saying he could see her and if she didn’t comply, he would shoot her and threatened to kill her, police said. He told the pharmacist to place the bag in the drive-through window, which she did, and said he would be back for more medications, records show.
No indictment
WARREN
A Trumbull County grand jury refused to indict a 31-year-old Lexington Avenue Northwest man on felony charges of aggravated arson and domestic violence relating to a fire at the house he shared with a 51-year-old woman Dec. 30.
Bruce Vonbergen was charged after the woman reported seeing Vonbergen pounding on the back door to the home and saying something about the porch being on fire.
The woman saw flames, so she and two others fled the house. The woman had called police to the house earlier that night claiming Vonbergen had broken a variety of things in the home. The fire caused minimal damage.
