Neighborhood discussions planned in Warren

Staff report

WARREN

The nonprofit Trumbull Neighborhood Partnership will have the first of five neighborhood discussions at 6:30 p.m. March 6 at Warren G. Harding High School on Elm Road regarding vacant houses and lots in the city.

The March 6 discussion will be for those with an interest in the central city, historic Perkins and North End areas.

The discussions will focus on making a “new vision for vacant houses and lots” in each of the five parts of town. It also will introduce people to others interested in improving the neighborhood and will provide opportunities to learn and share neighborhood strategies, TNP says. Children are welcome.

The second session will be for the Northwest and Austin-Starlite areas at 6:30 p.m. March 13 at McGuffey K-8 School on Tod Avenue Northwest.

The third session will be for the Southwest and Palmyra Heights areas at 6:30 p.m. March 20 at Jefferson K-8 School on Tod Avenue Southwest.

The fourth session will be for the Southeast and Kenmore areas at 6:30 p.m. March 27 at the Willard K-8 School on Willard Avenue.

The fifth session will be for the Northeast and Garfield areas at 6:30 p.m. April 3 at Lincoln K-8 School on Atlantic Street.

Each neighborhod will have three additional meetings later in the year.
