Poland zoning board rejects senior housing complex

POLAND

A proposed 51-unit, subsidized, independent senior living complex will not come to the village.

The village board of zoning appeals denied an application Tuesday for two variances sought by Miller-Valentine of Cincinnati, the complex’s developer.

“The representative did not show up, but representatives from Lewis Real Estate showed up and basically reiterated the position that they needed it to be economically feasible. By a vote of 5-0, we turned down the request for the variances for height and density. We felt that they hadn’t shown any hardship,” said Councilman Robert Limmer.
