The Weathersfield Township Zoning Commission meeting scheduled for Wednesday has been canceled.
$5K donation for dogs

The Mahoning-Shenango Kennel Club will present Friends of Fido a $5,000 check to help dogs in need of veterinary care at the county dog pound. The check will be delivered at 5:30 p.m. Friday at the pound, 589 Industrial Road, county Dog Warden Matt Ditchey announced.
Heart-event deadline

The deadline to reserve a seat at The Beat Goes On, a community social event to raise awareness about heart disease, is Friday.
Presented by St. Elizabeth Heart and Vascular Center, The Beat Goes On will take place at 5 p.m. Feb. 21 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church Hall, 343 Via Mount Carmel Ave.
Featured speakers are Paul Lisko, the first patient to undergo atrial fibrillation ablation at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, and Dr. Lee Gemma, the cardiac electrophysiologist who performed Lisko’s procedure in 2012.
There also will be a heart-healthy cooking demonstration by Chris Brainard, chef at St. Elizabeth’s, informational displays and a dinner buffet.

Boil advisory issued
Hubbard
Due to a water main break, a precautionary boil advisory has been issued in Brookfield and Hubbard townships until further notice.
During this advisory, customers are urged to boil all tap water used for drinking and ingestion for three to five minutes.
All Trumbull County water customers southeast of state Route 62 will be affected, including the following streets: Stiver, North Price, Vanness, Hubbard-Masury, Richardson, Connelly, Catherine, Madeline, Hubbard-Thomas between state Route 62 and Hubbard-Masury Road and Chestnut Ridge between state Route 62 and Hubbard-Masury Road.
