Champion S.C.O.P.E. Girard Multi-Generational Center, 443 Trumbull Ave., has planned the following: Monday, morning stretch class at 9:30 a.m., and knitting and crocheting at 10; Tuesday, exercise with Jude at 9:30 a.m., AARP tax help from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., yoga ($3 for members, $5 for nonmembers) at 10:15 and nutrition/healthy living at 10:30; Wednesday, morning stretch class at 9:30 a.m. and health screenings and yoga from 3 to 4 p.m.; Thursday, exercise with Jude at 9:30 a.m., AARP tax help from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and yoga from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m.; and Friday, morning stretch class at 9:30 a.m. and tai chi at noon. Guardian Angels of Ohio, a volunteer program of the Trumbull County Probate Court, is looking for new volunteers. Volunteers receive training to become advocates who reach out as friends to seniors who may need a phone call, a visit in a nursing home or a visit at home. They also plan special events such as health fairs and Make a Difference Day projects.
