YWCA hosts self-defense seminar

Neighbors | Submitted.The YWCA offered a seminar in self-defense, taught by Master Park of Boardman Jan. 12. More than 40 women came to learn from to seminar.

YWCA’s self-defense and safety awareness program visited the YWCA Youngstown on Jan. 12, as 40 women from Youngstown and surrounding communities attended the seminar.

The class offered valuable training for all ages.

The seminar included a lesson from Master Park, of Master Park Martial Arts in Boardman, who taught defending skills and techniques, preparation and awareness information.

Master Park has been trained in various Oriental martial arts for more than 50 years and taught safety officers, military, security personnel and general public for all ages.
