Newton Falls man wins $1M in Ohio Lottery game

RAVENNA — Newton Falls resident Thomas Blake, 47, bought a winning Ohio Lottery ticket in Ravenna, earning a $1 million top prize on the Money in the Bank instant game. Blake chose the $500,000 cash-prize equivalent.

After mandatory federal and state tax withholding totaling 29 percent, he will receive a lump sum of $355,000 he said he will use for education pursuits.

The ticket was purchased from Circle K store, 1370 Main St. The store will receive a $10,000 selling bonus.
