West Branch schools, classified workers reach 1-year pact extension

BELOIT — The West Branch School Board and the district’s classified employees have agreed to a one-year contract extension.

The extension, approved by the board at a special meeting today, expires in June 2014.

It grants all eligible employees a one-half step increase in pay for the 2013-2014 school year. It also states that if the school district receives additional funding from the state in the form of what is commonly known as the supplemental guarantee and that the guarantee is at least $200,000, then eligible employees will receive an additional half-step in pay.

The new contract also freezes medical contribution rates for all district employees for the 2013-2014 school year.
