WARREN

Two men in their late teens or early 20s carrying handguns robbed Fast Fuel, 1514 Parkman Road NW, at 11:17 p.m. Monday.

The robbers took cash from the register and a cellphone, then fled on foot, an employee told police. The men also took part of the store’s security system.

While police were looking for suspects in the robbery, they observed a male matching the description of one of the robbers walking near Summit Street and Parkman Road with two other young males.

The officer later determined that the man, Brandon Leech, 21, of Oak Knoll Avenue Southeast, had a concealed, loaded handgun in his pocket wrapped in an orange bandanna.

Officers took Leech to Fast Fuel, where a witness to the robbery said Leech was not involved.

Leech was charged with carrying a concealed weapon and appeared in Warren Municipal Court Monday, where he entered an innocent plea. He was released after posting $5,000 bond.

If convicted of the weapons charge, Leech could spend up to 18 months in prison.
