A Mahoning County grand jury indicted a Campbell man on one count of aggravated robbery and three counts of robbery in a series of heists at gasoline stations and a Subway sandwich shop.
The aggravated- robbery count the grand jury lodged Thursday against Schon Howard, 44, of 12th Street, pertains to a Jan. 8 heist, in which he purportedly brandished a knife and demanded cash from a clerk at the Subway restaurant on Mahoning Avenue in Youngstown.
One robbery count alleges Howard demanded money Jan. 2 at a BP gas station on East Midlothian Boulevard.
Another pertains to a Jan. 11 robbery at the Speedway gas station on North Meridian Road in Youngs-town, in which he purportedly demanded the cash-register drawer while standing with his hand in his pocket as if he were carrying a gun. The female employee handed over the cash drawer.
Yet another lists a July 22, 2012, robbery at the same Speedway in which Howard reportedly threatened the cashier.
He was arrested Jan. 25 at a Sycamore Street home on the city’s North Side.
