UPDATE | Woman found beaten to death at West Side house

YOUNGSTOWN -- Police are on the scene of a homicide at 3440 Shelby Ave. on the West Side.

A woman was found inside bludgeoned to death. Authorities were called at 1:54 p.m.

Police also said there were young children in the home and at least one child was outside without a coat, which is why police were called.

The children are at a neighbor's hone awaiting Mahoning County Children Services workers.
