The YWCA fulfills wishes for kids

SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR The Wish Upon A Star gift-giving project, operated by the YWCA of Youngstown, has a goal to put smiles on the faces of homeless and low-income children that the Y programs serve. Individuals and community groups team up with the Y to gather new toys, books, games and clothing for distribution to children in need. Eighty-nine children in the YWCA Housing Program received gifts. Above, Vicki Winphrie, YWCA housing case manager and Wish program coordinator, appears thrilled at the sight of all the gifts that were collected.
