New Year’s Eve has become a night for family fun at the annual celebrations in Youngstown, Canfield and Salem.

An evening of entertainment in several venues will take place Tuesday evening in all three cities. There will be fireworks at 9 p.m. (for small children) and midnight at Covelli Centre in Youngstown. In Canfield, there will be fireworks at midnight at Old North Church.

Here are the schedules of entertainment for First Night Youngstown, First Night Canfield and New Year’s Eve Salem:

FIRST NIGHT YOUNGSTOWN

First Night Youngstown admission buttons are $10 ($5 for students age 13 through college with ID, senior citizens and military personnel with ID, and free for children 12 and under — must be accompanied by a paid adult). Event schedule and maps available at FNY event headquarters, 25 E. Boardman St., Suite 405, downtown. Free parking will be provided at downtown lots, compliments of USA Parking and CIC (Ampco) Parking. Parking will also be available at the Arms Family Museum, First Presbyterian Church and the Public Library of Youngstown. Horse and Wagon Ride: Carriage rides, $5 for adults and $3 for children 13 and younger, 6-11 p.m.

20 Federal Place: Hugs the Clown, YMCA Boardman arts and crafts, and Cirque de Paper (origami show), 5-8; Harambee (African dancing and drumming), 6-7; Storyteller in the mezzanine, 5:30-6:30 and 7-8; Scenic Route (six-piece band) 7-8; Youngstown Connection (song and dance troupe), 8-9.

Covelli Centre: Family skating, 4-8:30 (adults must have admission button; limited skate rental available for $5 a pair, but bring your own if possible); Ed O’Malley (caricatures) and Jot the Clown (balloon animals), 5:30-8:30; ball drop and two fireworks shows, 9 and midnight.
