Mahoning board hosts regional advocacy session

The Mahoning County Board of Developmental Disabilities is hosting the Northeast Region Advocacy session sponsored by the Ohio Self Determination Association from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 15 at Holy Family Parish Center, 2729 Center Road.

The deadline to register is Jan. 10. Call Kristi Earle at 330-484-9004.

Coffee/tea and a light-morning snack is provided. Participants should pack a lunch or bring $5 to buy a lunch.

The Ohio Self Determination Association supports self-advocacy and promotes regional opportunities for self-advocates and advocates from different counties getting together to share what they are already doing to create an awareness of disability issues and to learn what is happening in other counties.

January’s meeting will focus on Ohio’s Employment First Initiative.
