Small Business

The Youngstown Chapter of SCORE, a nonprofit that aids small businesses, elected Steve Spencer to serve as chapter chairman. Spencer’s career includes leadership roles with Arthur Andersen, KPMG and Marsh & McLennan Companies, in addition to serving as CEO of several banks in Houston.

Frank Bordonaro, with 42 years in retail management, is the vice chairman, and Nick Moliterno, with experience in domestic and international manufacturing facilities, serves as treasurer.

PALO Creative hired Mandy Fittipaldo as project coordinator and Nick Dota as lead graphic designer.

Fittipaldo recently worked at Northlich in Cincinnati as project coordinator for the firm’s Sam’s Club account. Dota has 10 years of marketing and design experience and has worked with some of PALO’s top clients.

Law

Ryan J. Melewski of Canfield was named to Super Lawyer’s 2014 Ohio Rising Stars list. He is one of only two personal injury and medical malpractice lawyers representing plaintiffs to make the Ohio and Kentucky list.

Real Estate

Nazih Banna, Ronald Liptak and David Myers, sales associates with RE/MAX Valley Real Estate of Boardman, won the “Above the Crowd Award,” given to the three associates who earned the most in commissioned sales. Banna also surpassed all RE/MAX agents in transactions, total sales volume and commissions earned this past year. In recognition of his efforts, he will be awarded a spot on the “Top Producer Hall of Fame” Plaque in the Valley office.
