A man treated for a gunshot wound Christmas Day at St. Elizabeth Health Center is one of three people wounded in four gunfire incidents over the holiday.

Police were called about 2:45 p.m. Wednesday to the hospital where Keith Colvin, 53, of Youngstown, was being treated for a wound to his leg. Reports said Colvin was very drunk, and when asked what happened, told police: “It’s [expletive] Christmas, man; I didn’t do anything wrong.”

Reports said Colvin refused to give his name, but a nurse provided it. He told police he wanted to leave and got up despite a puddle of blood on the floor from the wound in his leg. He refused to sit and was forced back onto a bed by officers.

He is listed in stable condition.

Reports said officers believe Colvin was shot somewhere on the North Side.

About 2 p.m. Christmas Eve, a 9-year-old girl was treated at St. Elizabeth for a gunshot wound to the foot. The girl told police she was walking on Oakwood Avenue near Borts Pool with her uncle when she heard a gunshot and saw a man in a hooded sweatshirt running away.

The girl first went home, but she discovered she was shot, so she was driven to the hospital.

About 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at 160 W. LaClede Ave., Damien L. Patterson, 35, was wounded while he was trying to clear snow from his drive. Police said someone in a passing vehicle fired several shots at him from a passing vehicle. He also is being treated at St. Elizabeth.

About 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, a man was found lying in the middle of Front Street.Luis Rodriguez, 24, was arrested on two warrants from Youngstown Municipal Court and another from Trumbull County. He was in a car that police said someone fired a gun inside during an argument.

Officers found a spent shell casing and gave gunshot residue tests to the driver and another passenger. They said another man had been in the car earlier but had jumped out.
