Woman arrested by Poland police after chase through Ohio, Pa.

POLAND

A low-speed pursuit initiated by Poland Township police that traveled through several jurisdictions in Ohio and Pennsylvania was safely stopped Wednesday night when New Middletown police deployed spike strips across the roadway at U.S. Route 224 and Struthers Road, deflating the car’s tires.

Poland police took the female driver into custody and charged her with multiple traffic offenses, including operating a vehicle impaired, said New Middletown Police Chief Vincent D’Egidio.

No information was available late Thursday on the woman’s identity.
