Man, woman charged with crimes after reported theft from Newton Falls church


NEWTON FALLS — Madelyn A. Hanzes, 20, who listed addresses on Taylor Avenue and Arlington Boulevard, is charged with receiving stolen property, and Bradley M. Woolard, 19, of Ridge Road, is charged with breaking and entering, aggravated trespassing, and theft after police found them unloading metal chairs at a Windham scrap yard.

The arrests are related to Newton Falls police being called at 11:13 a.m. Dec. 9 regarding two people stealing items from St. Michael’s Church, police said.

Hanzes pleaded not guilty in Newton Falls Municipal Court on Dec. 12, and Woolard pleaded not guilty to his charges Dec. 9. Hanzes returns to court Jan. 23, and Woolard returns to court Jan. 28. Woolard was released on bond.
