Pa. man killed in Christmas Day fire

DUSHORE, Pa. (AP) — Authorities in eastern Pennsylvania say fire killed a man on Christmas morning.

Fire officials in Sullivan County say the blaze in Dushore was reported at about 7 a.m. Wednesday.

Scott Hope, borough fire chief, said the home was engulfed in flames by the time crews arrived and firefighters were unable to reach the victim.

The blaze was brought under control within an hour and a half, but the victim’s body was covered by debris and wasn’t recovered until early afternoon.

The county coroner’s office said the victim had not yet been positively identified.
