Man's leg broken from car crash after gunshot

YOUNGSTOWN

Police said a man was injured after a shooting in a car that caused the driver to wreck.

Police said they were called to Front Street at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday and found a 24-year-old Youngstown man lying in the street in pain.

The driver told police she ducked her head and wrecked after someone in the car shot a gun. It was unclear whether there were three or four people in the car.

One person fled, police were told, but another passenger said there were only three occupants.

The victim was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center, where he underwent surgery to repair a broken femur.
