Man shot in leg on Christmas afternoon

YOUNGSTOWN

Police say a man who was shot Christmas afternoon had to be restrained as he tried to walk out of St. Elizabeth Health Center with blood oozing from a wound in his leg.

Police were called to the hospital about 2:45 p.m. Tuesday where Keith Colvin, 53, of Youngstown, was being treated for a wound to his leg. Reports said Colvin was very drunk and when asked what happened told police: “It’s [expletive] Christmas, man, I didn’t do anything wrong.”

Reports said Colvin refused to give his name but it was provided by a nurse. When questioned by police, he said he wanted to leave and got up despite a puddle of blood on the floor from the wound in his leg. He refused to sit down and had to be forced back onto a bed by officers.

He is listed in stable condition.
