Cortland man charged with pandering obscenity involving a minor
CORTLAND
Ian T. Weddell, 32, of Tami Court, was arraigned Monday in Central District Court on five counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor.
Judge Thomas Campbell entered a not guilty plea for Weddell and set bond at $100,000.
The charges resulted from an investigation initiated by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Trumbull County Crimes Against Children Task Force of computer use to access pornographic images.
The agencies asked for assistance from the Cortland Police Department, which filed the charges against Weddell, said Detective David Morris of the Cortland Police Department.
If convicted, Weddell could get 40 years in prison.
