Donkey basketball games scheduled

MINERAL RIDGE

Staff and friends of the Fairhaven School in Niles and representatives from various Trumbull County school districts will team up to play a donkey basketball game Jan. 17 at Mineral Ridge High School, 1334 Seaborn St.

Proceeds will benefit the Fairhaven School and Special Olympics.

Doors will open at 5 p.m. with the games starting at 6. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. Advance tickets can be purchased at the school. Call 330-652-5811 to order or for information.

Donkey basketball is played on a basketball court, but with the players riding donkeys. Four teams of eight players will compete in two playoff games and a championship game. There are two six-minute periods for each game.

Gary Numan sets 2 regional concerts

British synth-rock pioneer Gary Numan will come to Beachland Ballroom in Cleveland on March 19 and Altar Bar in Pittsburgh on March 20.
