Man charged in theft of items at Giant Eagle

BOARDMAN

Boardman police arrested a 43-year-old Youngstown man over the weekend after Giant Eagle accused him of stealing a sub sandwich, fruit Danish and a sweatshirt.

David M. Leach of Montrose Street was charged with theft on Dec. 21.

Boardman police were dispatched to the grocery store at 12:41. p.m. A report said Leach was seen concealing the three items under his coat and then attempted to leave the store.

He was taken into custody and released on a summons. His arraignment day has not been set.
