Woman’s body found

GIRARD

At about 8:30 this morning, members of the U.S. Marshal Task Force Services found a body in a pond on Mahoning Country Club property that was tentatively identified as Thelma Brown, 87. The Alzheimer’s patient had been missing from her residence since early Saturday.

The body was taken to Trumbull County Coroner’s office for further investigation. At this time, no foul play is suspected.

Brown was last seen about 2 a.m. Saturday by her daughter-in-law and caregiver.
