‘Night Vale’ podcast coming out as a book

NEW YORK

Podcasters Joseph Fink and Jeffrey Cranor are taking their show to a new dimension: Welcome to “Welcome to Night Vale,” the book edition.

Harper Perennial announced that Fink and Cranor have a deal with the publisher for a novel based on their funny-scary series.

“Welcome to Night Vale,” the novel, is scheduled for release in fall 2015.

Book on the Bronx

Al Pacino, Carl Reiner and Regis Philbin are among dozens of Bronx natives who will share childhood memories for an upcoming book.

Henry Holt and Company announced that it had acquired “Just Kids From the Bronx,” scheduled for release in February 2015.

“Just Kids” was compiled by Arlene Alda, author of 15 children’s books and the wife of actor Alan Alda. Any profits earned by Arlene Alda will be contributed to children’s charities in the New York City borough.
