The Lake Club was the setting for the 4:30 p.m. wedding Oct. 4 of Bethany Straitiff and John Gillespie Jr. The Revs. Robert and Adele Langworthy officiated. A reception followed at the Lake Club.

Rosemary Lockett of Youngstown and Clifford Straitiff of Warren are the parents of the bride. The parents of the groom are Gayle and John Gillespie of Youngstown.

The bride wore an ivory lace gown with gold underlay featuring cap sleeves and a scalloped open back.

The bride’s sister Heidi Aston, wearing a champagne-colored gown, was matron of honor.

The best man was Michael Morley, the groom’s cousin.

After a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple reside in Boardman.

The bride earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work from Youngstown State University. She is a social worker for Coleman Behavioral Health in Warren.

The groom earned a degree in criminal justice from YSU and works in law enforcement for Mahoning County in Youngstown.
