Watering in winter

Evergreen shrubs do benefit from watering in winter, but not this year with all of the precipitation we’ve had. Some plants under the eaves of the house may benefit, though. While the ground is frozen, watch for cracks and add mulch to prevent root injury to perennials and shrubs.
