UPDATE | Suspect arrested in Howland's woman's death

HOWLAND — Township police expect Bradley E. Milligan, 48, to be charged with murder later today in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court in the death of his sister, Laura L. Michael, 51. Authorities said she had been bludgeoned and severely beaten.

Police found Michael dead Wednesday afternoon in her home at 8762 Howland Springs Road after being called there by her daughter, who had not heard from her mother in a few days.

Milligan has lived in Columbus and at the residence for about two years, but Howland Police Chief Paul Monroe said police were called to the residence in June 2012 for a domestic-violence call involving he and his sister.
