Train hits car, no one hurt

YOUNGSTOWN

A man will be cited for failure to yield after his car slid onto a set of train tracks on East Florida Avenue about 9 a.m. today and was hit by a train.

Police said the driver of the car lost control going down a slight incline on East Florida Avenue and his car collided with a train from the Youngstown & Southeastern Railroad Co. The train hit the front of the car.

The driver of the car was not injured, police said. The driver of the car is being cited because it is his responsibility to yield to the train, police said.
