BREAKING NEWS | Suspect arrested in Nov. 15 Youngstown homicide

YOUNGSTOWN — The FBI Violent Crimes Task Force, the Youngstown Police Department and the Mahoning Valley Crisis Response Team arrested fugitive Lavelle Stanley after a stand-off Monday evening at a residence 100 block of Lauderdale Avenue.

Stanley was sought by city police and the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force for an arrest warrant charging Stanley with aggravated murder, attempted murder, felonious assault with firearm specifications and being a felon in illegal possession of a firearm.

The warrant was issued based on Stanley's alleged participation in the Nov. 15 shooting death of Elliott Stewart and the wounding of his brother, Derrick.
