Artists of Rust Belt gift market at B&O

YOUNGSTOWN

Artists of the Rust Belt, an organization of regional artists and craftspeople, will offer their works in a last-minute market for holiday shoppers this weekend at the B&O Station, 530 Mahoning Ave. Hours will be noon to 7 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.

More than 35 local artists will be displaying photography, jewelry, ceramics, sculpture, pottery, painting, drawing, mixed media, fiber, apparel and beauty products.

The annual show and sale has expanded to two days this year.

Santa Claus will be there from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. each day. There also will be live performances and music, gourmet food, a cash bar, coffee, hot chocolate and beer from Rust Belt Brewing Co. Admission is $1 (free if under 18).

Parents Without Partners dance

The Portage County chapter of Parents Without Partners will have its monthly dance at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 4 at the Ritchie Memorial Shelter House, 109 West Ave., with DJ Mel. The dance is open to the public, and nonmembers are invited to join.
