Boy dies in 3-story fall from apartment

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — A 3-year-old boy has died after falling from a third-floor window in his family’s Philadelphia apartment.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports it happened just after 6 p.m. Sunday in the city’s Frankford neighborhood. Police say the child was in a room with his 4- and 2-year-old sisters when he fell. His aunt and godmother were in the apartment at the time, but his parents were not home.

The boy was pronounced dead five hours later at St. Christopher’s Hospital.
