St. James Meeting House in Boardman Park was the setting of the Nov. 2 wedding of Amanda Pesta and Jeffrey Getsy. The Rev. Jack Damey officiated at the 1 p.m. ceremony.

Tom and MaryAlice Sinkovich of Boardman are the parents of the bride. The parents of the groom are George and Alma Getsy of Lowellville.

The couple are planning a wedding trip after the bride’s graduation. They reside in Boardman.

The bride wore a white ball gown featuring a sweetheart neckline and lace-up back. It was adorned with beading and was fashioned with a semicathedral train.

Mrs. Getsy is attending Hannah E. Mullins School of Practical Nursing and works as a sales associate for Gracy Lane in Boardman.

Her husband is a production operator for Vallourec Star in Youngstown.

Sarah Steiner was maid of honor, and the bride’s sister, Kelly Pesta, was junior maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Rebecca Pesta, the bride’s sister; Heather Stroyne, the bride’s cousin; and Christin Watters, the groom’s sister-in-law.

The flower girl was Jozi Getsy, the groom’s niece. The attendants wore watermelon-pink gowns.

Brother of the groom John Getsy was best man. Groomsmen were George Getsy, father of the groom; Kyle Getsy, brother of the groom; Jeff Broll; Bill Smith; and Jordan Masotto. The bride’s brother Thomas Sinkovich was the ring bearer.
