Send holiday events

The Vindicator will publish a listing of area services that are open to the public in observance of Christmas Eve and Day and New Year’s Eve and Day.

The Christmas list will run on the Religion page next Sunday. Deadline to submit that information is 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Information on New Year’s services should be submitted by Dec. 24. That list will be published Dec. 28.

Include the denomination and name of the church, address, town and time of the services. The information should be accompanied by a name and a phone number for verification or any questions. Hebrew 101

YOUNGSTOWN

The Jewish Community Center of Youngstown is offering Hebrew 101 to teach the basics of the Hebrew language, including reading, comprehension, vocabulary and conversation.

Classes will be from 5 to 6 p.m. Mondays in the Adult Lounge of the Jewish Community Center on Gypsy Lane starting Jan. 13 and running through March 31. No text is required for the course.

The cost is $65 for JCC members and $75 for nonmembers. Register through the bursar’s office by calling 330-746-3251, ext. 195.
