Farmers National Bank has promoted Amber Wallace to senior vice president, chief retail/marketing officer and Tim Shaffer to vice president, Commercial Banking/Private Client Services, Mahoning Valley. Before this announcement, Wallace served Farmers as senior vice president for marketing and Shaffer was the bank’s vice president, commercial banking manager.

The Home Savings and Loan Co. announced the hiring of Kenneth M. Goetz and Gary L. Wimer as directors of commercial real estate. Goetz and Wimer were both senior executives in the commercial real-estate division of National City Corp. Goetz was president of the national bank division and vice president and business line manager of commercial real estate, and Wimer was executive vice president and division manager in the national division. The pair founded the commercial real-estate company MV Management Company LLC in 2008.

Farmers National Bank hired William Holland as its new commercial lender. With more than 20 years of banking experience, Holland comes to Farmers from Cortland Bank, where he was the vice president of commercial lending. A Valley resident, Holland attended Youngstown State University and serves as the vice president of the governing board at the Trumbull County Education Service Center.

The Builders Association of Eastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania elected five Mahoning Valley residents as officers for 2014. Howard Agueda of Warren will serve as first vice president. Lisbon resident Jim Santini will be the second vice president, and the position of third vice president will be filled by Jeff Mason of Canfield. The Builders’ secretary and treasurer will be Jim Baker of Boardman. Kevin Reilly of Mineral Ridge will serve as executive vice president.

Pittsburgh-based Cowden Associates Inc. has hired Shawna McDonnell as a consultant for health and benefits and Michael Stevens as an analyst in compensation.
