Campbell cops cite Pa. man for drug possession
CAMPBELL — A 41-year-old New Castle, Pa., man was arrested by city police Thursday afternoon for possession of drugs, a first-degree misdemeanor.
Police pulled over an SUV on Coitsville Road for following another vehicle too closely at about 1:45 p.m. The driver of the SUV — identified as 41-year-old Ronald Eugene Clark — could not produce his driver’s license, registration or proof of insurance, and police discovered that his license had been suspended.
Clark told police that he had been following the vehicle in front of him because he had to, and that he didn’t want to lose them.
He also admitted to having a cigar-like cigarette containing marijuana in his hat.
Clark was charged with possession of drugs and for driving under suspension. He was also cited for following too closely.
