San Francisco 49ers: Ryan Seymour was standing on the visitor’s side of Candlestick Park on Sunday.

Two days later, he found himself sharing a locker room with Sunday’s opponent.

The San Francisco 49ers announced Tuesday they signed Seymour to a three-year contract as insurance at the left guard position.

Starter Mike Iupati missed the past three games with a left knee injury and left tackle Joe Staley has been bothered by an ankle problem.

Seymour was surprised by a Monday morning telephone call from his agent, saying he was on his way back to San Francisco.

Atlanta Falcons: Falcons offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter isn’t saying much about his recent interview with Boise State.

Koetter confirmed on Tuesday that he met with Boise State officials, but declined to elaborate.

In two seasons with Atlanta, Koetter has had mixed results.

Last season’s team, led by Pro Bowl performances from quarterback Matt Ryan, receiver Julio Jones and tight end Tony Gonzalez, went 13-3 and finished 10 yards shy of the Super Bowl.

This season, the Falcons are 3-10 and has been undermined by a porous offensive line, an ineffective running game and Jones’ season-ending injury.

Koetter went 26-10 as Boise State’s coach from 1998-2000. He was 40-34 at Arizona State from 2001-06.

Boise State is trying to replace Chris Petersen, who took the job at Washington.

Cincinnati Bengals: The Bengals have waived fullback Chris Pressley, who was sidelined the entire season by a knee injury.

Pressley went on the physically unable to perform list because of a knee injury before training camp began. He recently was cleared to resume practice on a roster exemption, which expired Tuesday.

The Bengals also chose not to add quarterback Zac Robinson to the active roster. He’s been on the physically unable to perform list with a sore passing elbow. He’ll remain on the injury list for the rest of the season.

The Bengals (9-4) play at Pittsburgh (5-8) on Sunday night.

Flex scheduling: The NFL will move the matchup between Chicago and Philadelphia to the prime-time slot on Sunday, Dec. 22.

The Bears (7-6) will travel to face the Eagles (8-5) at 8:30 p.m. on NBC.

The New England Patriots game against the Baltimore Ravens will move to 4:25 p.m. on CBS.
