Multiple charges
NEWTON FALLS
Police have charged Bradley M. Woolard, 19, of Ridge Road with breaking and entering, aggravated trespassing and theft after police found him and a female at a Windham recycling dealer with items taken from St. Michael Church, 737 Ridge Road.
Police were called at 11 a.m. Monday regarding a theft in progress in a rear building at the church.
A witness described the vehicle used in the theft.
Police checked with the recycling center and located the vehicle involved containing items from the church.
Charges are pending against the female, but she was present during the crime, Newton Falls Police Chief Gene H. Fixler said.
Woolard was arraigned on the charges — two misdemeanors and a felony — in Newton Falls Municipal Court on Monday.
Man charged
NEWTON FALLS
Tyler J. Bucciarelli, 18, of Jamestown, Pa., and Mahoning Court in Newton Falls, was charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm, aggravated menacing and disorderly conduct after a Friday incident involving a gun at a house on Milton Boulevard.
Police said they were called at 5:29 p.m. for a man with a gun. They were advised that two males had attempted to buy drugs and turned over money but didn’t receive the drugs.
That’s when Bucciarelli displayed a gun, said Gene H. Fixler, Newton Falls police chief. Bucciarelli was found later with the weapon in the East River Homes area, Fixler said.
Bucciarelli, who told police he’s a gang member, appeared for arraignment Monday in Newton Falls Municipal Court on the single felony and two misdemeanors.
Others involved are part of an ongoing investigation, Fixler added.
