Teen student claims he was struck by vehicle in Boardman High School parking lot

BOARDMAN — A 17-year-old student at Boardman reported to police on Monday that he was struck by a vehicle in the Boardman High School parking lot.

The student told police he was walking across the lot when a silver truck came directly at him. As the student moved to get out of the way, the side-view mirror on the truck struck his right shoulder. The driver and occupants were yelling and laughing at the student, according to a police report.

The student gave police the name of the possible driver.
