WARREN

The Trumbull County Engineer’s Office has received a $100,000 grant to allow it to study the possible use of compressed natural gas on county vehicles.

The office will conduct a feasibility study to determine what fleets would be best to convert to CNG.

The grant is from the Ohio Development Services Agency’s Local Government Innovation Fund.

Marketplace help

LEETONIA

A certified counselor from Community Action Agency of Columbiana County will be available to help people navigate the health insurance marketplace from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Leetonia Community Public Library, 181 Walnut St.

The session was originally scheduled from noon to 4 p.m.

Registration is not necessary, but is recommended.

Flynn’s Tire Group makes donation

HERMITAGE, PA.

Flynn’s Tire Group of Hermitage, Pa., recently donated $1,680 to Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation.

The donation represents a commitment made by Flynn’s to donate $10 to the hospital for each home run hit by the Pittsburgh Pirates during 2013 regular and post-season games.

After the check presentation, Joe Flynn III and Anne Flynn, president and vice president of Flynn’s Tire, respectively, toured the facility and said they are impressed with the “child friendly” details incorporated into the hospital’s design.

Cops probe shooting

WARREN

Police are investigating the shooting of a 17-year-old Atlantic Street boy shot in the elbow during a robbery at 7:45 p.m. Sunday.

Police were called to an Atlantic Street business and found the teen in the parking lot beside a van with several other people. He was taken by ambulance to ValleyCare Trumbull Memorial Hospital for treatment.
