Liberty Local Schools receive three grants
LIBERTY
Liberty Local Schools will receive three grants totaling about $32,000, said schools Superintendent Stan Watson.
A $21,000 state grant will allow security updates, he said. The schools’ doors will be made more secure, with people no longer being allowed into vestibules. “Now you will stop outside the building,” he said.
The district also plans to use some of the money for radios that would instantly contact township police as “first providers,” he said.
Another grant, for $5,750, will pay for technology to aid financial accountability in the cafeterias.
A grant from CVS will provide $5,000 for nursing station supplies.
