A man wanted for a pair of murders in 2011 is now in the Mahoning County jail.

Hakeen Henderson, 22, was booked into the lock-up Saturday morning, according to jail records.

Vindicator broadcast partner 21 WFMJ-TV said Henderson, who had addresses in Salem and San Diego, turned himself in.

Henderson was indicted in April for two murders in 2011.

Early Nov. 13, 2011, 23-year-old Adam Christian was shot and killed at 1477 Woodcrest Ave. On Nov. 16, Raymond “Remel” Hayes, 20, was found shot to death in a sparsely populated area of the East Side near Gerwig and Knapp avenues.

Also indicted for those killings are Dewaylyn Colvin, 32, of Nelson Avenue; and Michael Austin Jr., 20, of Midland Avenue.

Henderson is Austin’s older brother. Austin and Colvin are also in the Mahoning County Jail.
