Learn to make candy canes at downtown workshop

The Mahoning Valley Historical Society is sponsoring a workshop for making candy canes as part of its Memories of Christmas Past event from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Tyler Mahoning Valley History Center, 325 W. Federal St. Cost is $2.

Participants will learn how to make and bend candy canes with simple ingredients and take some home. Advance reservations are required at 330-743-2589.
