Book signing set at Jimmy’s eatery

Authors Louise Mason and Janine Motley will sign copies of their book, “Life Lessons for Little Learners,” from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Jimmy’s Italian Food, 3230 Belmont Ave.
The book is designed to help adults teach important social skills and behaviors needed to enhance learning, which affords students a greater opportunity for individual academic success.

Writers group plans meeting at Peaberry’s
CANFIELD
Monday Night Writers group has scheduled a meeting from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 16 at Peaberry’s Caf , 4350 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Area writers, both published and unpublished, are invited to attend the meeting, which author and professional writer Nancy Christie will lead. The sessions include a mix of writing exercises, information on the creative and business aspects of writing, and group feedback on works in progress.

Meet the Authors is scheduled at BHCC
YOUNGSTOWN
The Brier Hill Cultural Center will host a Meet the Authors event at 10 a.m. Saturday at its main hall, 149 Jefferson St. The event, part of the BHCC’s monthly Breakfast Series, will feature a prominent area storyteller and five authors of books tied to local history: Regina M. Rees, a professor at Youngstown State University who serves as an official Eclectic Reader’s storyteller for the William Holmes McGuffey Historical Society; Carmen Leone, Richard S. Scarsella, Thomas Welsh, and Martin and Sally Pallante.
An admission charge of $5 includes refreshments, and secured parking is available at the BHCC.
