VIENNA
Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport, the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve and the American Red Cross are teaming up to collect for Toys for Tots on Wednesday to Dec. 19.
For every gift donated, the donor will be entered into a drawing for two round-trip tickets from Allegiant Air for travel from the local airport.
Participants are asked to bring unwrapped, new toys either to the airport information counter, 1453 Youngstown-Kingsville Road, or the American Red Cross, 661 Mahoning Ave. in Warren from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday to Dec. 19.
Drop times at the airport are 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesday; 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday; 5 to 9 p.m. Friday; 2:30 to 5 p.m. Saturday; 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Dec. 16; and 3 to 7 p.m. Dec. 19.
Kids hospital donation

Flynn’s Tire Group has donated $1,680 to Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation. It represents $10 for each home run hit by the Pittsburgh Pirates during the 2013 baseball season.
Flynn’s Tire group is a regional tire retailer and wholesaler with locations in eastern Ohio and western Pennsylvania, four tire warehouses in Ohio and Pennsylvania, and five commercial tire centers that service trucking and industrial facilities.
Disinfectant spray

Police charged a 17-year-old male resident of New Beginnings Juvenile Residential Center, 510 Parkwood Ave., with felonious assault after a staff member said the teen sprayed disinfectant in the staff member’s face at 12:23 p.m. Friday. The staff member had to flush his eyes and wanted to file charges.
2-vote win confirmed
WARREN
A recount has confirmed that Robert Bush has won the race for Warren Township trustee over Phillip E. Fletcher by two votes.
The Trumbull County Board of Elections conducted the automatic recount Thursday. It produced no change in the vote totals, with Bush having 293 votes and Fletcher having 291.
Domestic disturbance
WARREN
Jamaur D. Brown, 30, of Second Street was charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm and two felony drug-possession charges Thursday night after a domestic disturbance at a North Park Avenue home.
Ariana D. Shaver, 25, of Martin Street Southwest was charged with misdemeanor domestic violence and two counts of felony drug possession in the incident.
Police responded to the incident at 10:03 p.m. and went to St. Joseph Health Center at 3:30 a.m. to transport Shaver to the Trumbull County jail. A police report does not say what type of injuries she had.
A judge in Warren Municipal Court entered innocent pleas for Brown and Shaver and set bond at $10,000 for Brown. Shaver was released on a personal recognizance bond, meaning she didn’t have to pay anything.
Breaking, entering
YOUNGSTOWN
Kenneth Landy, 52, was charged with breaking and entering at 12:41 p.m. Friday at the former Anthony’s on the River, 15 Oakhill Ave.
A man looking at the building because he was interested in buying it walked into a broken door and found a man inside. The intruder fled, but police found him a short time later near the railroad tracks and took him into custody.
Landy told police he went into the business “looking for a place to drink.”
